Problem: Struvite

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection Water Control Pollution Plant successfully tested the Merus USA ring on a severe Struviet problem which meant the replacement of piping every few months.  An 5" Merus USA ring was installed on July 2nd, 2007 on our recommendation. The pipe was approx. 90% clogged when the Merus USA ring was first placed.  On Oct 25th, 2007 the pipe was re-opened to check and validate the function  of the ring . 
When re-opened, the results were amazing.  The Struvite appeared to have been disintegrated and pipe was no longer clogged. Please see pictures below.

Pipes with rust/lime scale New Jersey, the private resident with a 6000 sq ft home had serious problem with lime scale and corrosion due to the presence of various mineral salts in the well water. A 1 inch Merus bio-Standard ring solved the problem.

PDVSA (Petróleos de Venezuela)
Against Algae - "Bear Hair" -

A 6" BIO ring was installed on one of the gas platforms in Lake Maracaibo. They use lake water for cooling and need to control the growth of a special algae called "Bear Hair", a unique algae that grows where salt and sweet water mix.

Photos were taken of the Zurn filter, full of "Bear Hair" before installation. Two weeks later it was reported that the Zurn filter was quite clean. After photos not available as yet.

A 2 inch Merus ring was installed on a pipe (9/27/07) leading to the Compressor Cooler that had Lime scale deposit
problems. Easier to clean.

San Juan Power Authority
1.25" Merus ring has been installed on another Coller Compressor which also had limescale deposits.
In use now.

Merck Sharp & Dohme
Cooling toowr has rust, limescale and bio problems. An 8 inch HCI Bio ring has been installed on 9/4/08
in use now.

Abbot Laboratories
An HCI Bio 2.5 inch ring has been installed since 8/28/7 on a scrubber which had to be cleaned every week with serious down time.The cleaning interval has been reduced to 8 week routine and far easier to clean since the deposits collect at the bottom of the holding tank.
